Old Gold Comedy Theater

This was an old time radio show that began as a comedy series used to promote the Old Gold brand of cigarettes. The show used a silent film star as its host and tried to jam a two hour movie script into a thirty minute format. Neither of these concepts seemed to go over very well with the audience and the show was soon cancelled.
